EVENT CANCELLED Nottingham Charity Run 2020 will be the 12th annual event hosted qt The University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). It will be held on the 21st of March 2020. This year, the charity run will be held in conjunction with the Public Health Campaign titled “Hey! You Matter” with the theme of Mental Health with the main objective to fight against the stigma of mental health to the students of UNM and the public. RACE PACK COLLECTION
This event is converted to a virtual run due to the rising cases of COVID-19. However, race pack collections will be postponed until further notice. The mechanism of the virtual run is as follows, runners choose their own tracks and run for their registered distance and record the run on running apps such as Nike Run (picture of treadmill interface is also sufficient). The virtual run is to be conducted between March 25th and April 25th and the proof should be submitted using the google form to obtain a certificate. The certificate will then be given to the participants. Rest assured registrants (even those not participating in the virtual run) are still entitled to the race pack, event tee and medal. 17TH MARCH 2020 - UPDATES ON HEY! YOU MATTER NOTTINGHAM CHARITY RUN RACE PACKS COLLECTION
As of the 16th of March 2020, the Malaysian Government ordered a movement restriction which required all business, social and religious activities to be cancelled from the 18th of March 2020 to the 31st of March 2020. This announcement has affected the availability of the race pack on the promised date, as our suppliers are incapable to operate and fulfill our orders. Therefore, race pack collections will be postponed until further notice. During these hard times, we strongly suggest to follow the Government's orders and wishes as they prioritize the health of our nation before anything else. Please continue to avoid crowds, employ social distancing, practice good hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water, and cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty with breathing, seek medical care early and diligently follow the advice of health care professionals. Lastly, we would like to send our sincere gratitude to all participants once again for their understanding of the decisions we have made and we apologize for any inconveniences caused.
