LABUAN ULTRA MARATHON 2020 CANCELLED
Dear Runners,
Please take note that the Labuan Ultra Marathon (LUM) 2020, scheduled for 19th July 2020 is officially cancelled.
We have been watching the situation develop with regards to the Coronavirus outbreak since February 2020.
With the latest announcement by WHO (World Health Organization) who have now officially declared the novel coronavirus outbreak a global pandemic, this directly affects the majority of LUM 2020 participants who would otherwise be travelling to Labuan for the event.
We were able to successfully organize the recent Four Feathers Ultra Marathon 2020 two weeks ago but we have become deeply concerned by the alarming increase of levels of spread and severity. We have also seen an increase in the number of those infected in Malaysia.
As our event is unique in that the majority of participants will have to travel and need sufficient warning ahead of time to make changes to their plans for the rest of the year as work, family life and other commitments will be disrupted if we do not take action and wait till the last minute, we have decided at this juncture to cancel the event for everyone’s benefit.
As such, all runners who have made payments to participate in LUM 2020 will be issued full refunds for payment of their entry fees for the event.

We apologize but we cannot entertain requests for reimbursement of hotel or flight costs as this viral outbreak is beyond our control.
We thank everyone for their understanding and co-operation. We hope to organize LUM 2021 as we are unable to postpone the event to a later part of the year as we already have event’s we are committed to organizing and cannot shift the race to a later date in 2020.
