ABOUT
The Pinktober Run JB is organized to involve the community in a 5km fun run around Johor Bahru central business district and to spread knowledge about breast cancer, the symptoms of the disease and inform women about the signs they should look out for.
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women all around the world.
In the United States alone, 1 out of every 8 women develops breast cancer during her lifetime.
In Malaysia, 1 out of 19 women are at risk.
The rates of catching the disease are high, and so are the mortality rates. Besides the run, there is an exciting line-up of activities held throughout the entire event including foot reflexology, health screening and breast self-examination demonstration.
